The Area

The Homestead on the Hill is a dream come true for those who are weary of city noise, a haven for lovers of the wildernss and wonders of nature.

The Homestead on the Hill lies on the very edge of the Ruś village, in the heart of the Biebrza National Park, on the banks of the river Narew.

In the spring, the marshes are loud with hundreds of species of birds. Frogs sing their green hearts out in the evenings; neighbours include moose, deer, beavers and otters. The many nearby oxbow lakes and two rivers brim with fish all year round. Bicycle trips through the region are always a delight.
